Chapter 1 - Construction Site

A construction site is usually equipped with various tools that carpenters use to assemble, teardown, fortify, and create. Such gear is specifically designed to perform numerous tasks and must be handled with precision in order to receive the maximized benefit of the equipment. These instruments allow handlers the ability to adjust various apparatus parts and complete structures. Certain tools are superior to others, depending upon what’s used to produce the final design.
In a scriptural perspective, the woman’s role of making life choices is considered pivotal when she’s creating her personal habitat. Proverbs 14:1 reads, “Every wise woman buildeth her house.” When we build our homes, they should be primed with a durable foundation – strong enough for our homes and families to remain unblemished. Put on your hard hat and create your home or self so sturdy that it can endure the blows, storms, and turbulent times of life. This is not an easy endeavor. It takes lots of preparation, self-examination, honesty, and boatloads of perseverance!
God is building something GREAT in you. It’s time for you to fight the disenchantment of failure. I have seen a few magic shows and it’s amazing how magicians have the ability to create this mind-boggling sense of illusion. Through props and lighting effects, a magician is able to seemingly cut a woman in half, pull a rabbit out of a hat, and make a person levitate above ground. It’s all in the trickery of illusion.

In life, there are “props” whose dazzling shows of destructive behavior entice and take many off the right paths. You may be caught in their game and sacrifice a period in your life, while hoping for a return on a failed investment. Eventually, you realize they were only illusions – fakes and tricksters, scam artists, or predators.  Possibly, for some of you, setbacks in life have caused you to view life from a distorted angle. Maybe, you fell vulnerable to someone, placed all your cards on the table, and thought that surely you had won the hand. Then, you realized that you miscalculated the hand and the player! Keep going. You will be victorious.

This new construction site of building your body should be taken with steps carefully ordered by God. More often than not, we want to remodel or upgrade our exterior before we begin working from the inside outward. Despite how much renovation or improvement has already been completed, a sound foundation should be erected first. Foundation is the base that holds the entire structure in place. It is the platform – the root on which everything else is established. Hebrews 6:1 explains, “Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God.”

As a woman full of unlimited potential, it’s time to get firmly rooted in the right foundation, which is God. It’s your moment to reach for the next level in your anointed destiny. He, alone, knows your self-worth and sees your real capability. Once you’ve made repentance from dead actions, have faith in God and press forward! I must be secure in God’s love, certain that I am forgiven, chosen, loved and cared for by God. Know who you are – God’s beloved daughter.
